In my opinion, the three best things about Los Angeles are: 1) that you can surf in the Pacific, hike through the Hollywood Hills, and ski in Big Bear all in the same day!; 2) the museums, concerts, films, restaurants—so many great cultural opportunities!; 3) the weather, especially since I grew up in Seattle.
My favorite place to eat in Los Angeles is: Musha in Santa Monica—the best traditional Japanese food in Los Angeles!
If I weren’t in my current job, I would be: a restaurant critic for the L.A. Times—So many amazing restaurants to choose from here!
A perfect day would include: breakfast at an outdoor café overlooking the ocean, a hike through the Malibu Hills, an afternoon at one of the many great museums in Los Angeles, and a movie at the Arclight Theater.
My favorite dessert is: bread pudding—reminds me of the great semester I spent studying in England.
My favorite spot on the USC campus is: the fountain in front of the Doheny Library—beautiful!
