Immigrant Integration
University of Southern California. USC’s College of Letters, Arts & Sciences invites applications for an assistant professor with a research specialization that addresses issues of immigrant integration. The position, beginning in fall 2009, is part of a university-wide initiative to promote research and teaching on the processes of immigration, settlement, and social transformation. The candidate should be an empirical social scientist working in these areas; we are particularly interested in candidates who can relate their research to policy issues. The search committee is being conducted jointly by the departments of American Studies & Ethnicity, Political Science, Sociology and History, and the appointment will be made formally in one of these departments. Non-Tenure Track Lecturer Positions
The Department of American Studies and Ethnicity at the University of Southern California seeks to establish a pool of qualified individuals for non-tenure track lecturer positions as needed for the Fall 2008 and/or Spring 2009 terms.
Qualifications: Must have completed the Ph.D. in a relevant field and have previous teaching experience in the subject area. For the 2008-2009 academic year, we expect to hire adjuncts to teach these undergraduate courses. Adjuncts teach no more than two courses per term.
