Advisement
Other Advisement or Time Devoted to Students
- During the Summer Orientation sessions for incoming Biology majors, I advise them on the courses they will take their first and second semester of their Freshman year and a general description of the courses they should take to gain their degree the remaining 3 years at USC. I also evaluate Biology courses that incoming transfer students have taken elsewhere and indicate to the Registrars Office of their equivalence to courses we offer and thus satisfy Biology degree requirements. For students who wish to take a Biology course elsehwere during the summer I ask the students to get me information on the course or get me the web address of the school in order for me to determine if the course is at our level. If so I let the Registrar's office know that it does so when a transcript is received for that student the course will be listed as acceptable for the student. I have been doing this for over 25 years and will continue to do so in the future, 2008-2009
