Biography

After obtaining undergraduate degrees in English literature and drama, Lindsay Nelson studied Japanese literature at Tokyo's Sophia University, where she received an MA in Comparative Culture. Her current research interests include contemporary Japanese horror cinema and the depiction of technology and urban space, Japanese gothic fiction, and "virtuality" in contemporary Japanese culture. On weekends she can often be found doing enthusiastic renditions of Japanese pop songs in local karaoke bars.
