USC College offers a number of scholarships each year for continuing students (current USC freshmen, sophomores, and juniors) with majors in the College. Incoming students are not eligible for these scholarships, but may apply for them in subsequent years. These scholarships are one-year awards.
$1,000 to $5,000 per award
Varies. USC College Continuing Student Scholarships are a collection of many scholarships available through USC College.
Open to any current USC student who has a major in USC College and has completed at least one semester at USC (12 units or more). Incoming freshmen are not eligible for these awards. At the time of application and during the 2010-2011 academic year, the student must have full-time status (registered in a minimum of 12 units) in a College major. Undecided or undeclared status does not qualify one for these awards. A minimum cumulative USC GPA of 3.0 is required. Selection criteria include extracurricular involvement, leadership potential, and campus and community involvement.
Individual awards will vary depending on your financial aid package and/or the number of qualified applicants. Receipt of award monies may alter allocation of funds with your financial aid package (there is a chance your previously-awarded grant award may decrease in some situations). Scholarships awarded may only be used to replace University tuition costs.
Applications for nearly all Continuing Student Scholarships are submitted online, but many supplementary materials may need to be submitted on paper. The online application 2010-2011 academic year will be available on this site beginning in January 2010. Please check back then!
