Biographical Sketch

Presently, I working on an article on the ancient greek understanding of chance in political life; the essay largely draws upon the works of Homer, Hesiod, Sophocles, and Plato. A draft of this essay was presented at the 2007 annual meeting of the Western Political Science Association. Additionally, I have a manuscript under review entitled: Brushing History against the Grain: The Democratic Lessons of East European Dissent.
