Biography
Hilary Bradbury, Ph.D., brings her expertise in action research -- a facilitated community design approach -- to sustainability. Prior to arriving at the Center she was Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior at Case University| Weatherhead School of Management in Cleveland, Ohio and she continues teaching in executive and doctoral programs on organizational change around the country. Hilary's work has been funded by a National Science Foundation award to facilitate and document the efforts of multinational companies as they learn how to become more sustainable by managing the so called "triple bottom line" of "people, planet, profit." Today she extends this work to facilitate strategic and shared vision among organizational leaders while bringing attention to engaging key stakeholders in the process of design and implementation. Hilary has been honored for her work with the Mitchell International medal for 'Young Sustainability Scholar.' She has worked closely with leaders in sustainability that include BP, Ford, Nike, Waste Management, Xerox. She is a board member of the Society for Organizational Learning. She co-edited the bestselling Handbook of Action Research (Sage, 2001, 2007) with Peter Reason and is Editor in Chief of the international, peer reviewed Sage journal, Action Research. Her journal articles have appeared in Organization Science, Academy of Management Executive, Journal of Management Inquiry, and Organization Development Practitioner, among others.
