Geography Department Internship Oppurtunities:

*397 Applied Geography Internship (2-4, max 4, FaSpSm)

Intensive experience in local public agency, private firm, or non-profit agency engaged in applied geographic work.


*490x Directed Research (2-8, max 8, FaSp)

Individual research and readings. Not available for graduate credit. Prerequisite: department approval.

National Geographic offers paid internships for Geography and cartography majors at United States colleges and universities who are currently enrolled in their junior or senior year.  The internship program aims to furnish students with a professional learning experience through participation in various projects aimed at the diffusion of geographic knowledge.  For more information see announcement [pdf] and application [pdf].
