Welcome to IBIS for 2008-9(This site works best with Mozilla, Firefox, and equivalent browsers. It is not friendly with Internet Explorer.) The Institute for British and Irish Studies is a resource for faculty, graduate students, and undergraduates from across the USC campus. It is part of a growing community of area resources in British and Irish Studies. IBIS sponsors IBIS links, the web’s premier clearinghouse for electronic resources in British and Irish Studies. In 2008-10, Lindsay O'Neill is holding our post-doctoral fellowship. Details about IBIS-sponsored and LA-area events in British and Irish Studies are posted as details become available. If you have an event to list, please email us. IBIS maintains IBIS-L, a listserve that keeps subscribers informed about British and Irish Studies events in the LA-area. This listserve is open to students as well as faculty and to all local people who are interested in British and Irish Studies. If you would like to subscribe, send a message to listproc@usc.edu, leave the subject line blank, and type this text in the message area: SUBSCRIBE IBIS-L YOUR NAME (e.g., SUBSCRIBE IBIS-L JANE DOE). Every subscriber can post notices to the list. Once you have subscribed, you can publicize an area event by sending the information directly to IBIS-L@usc.edu.
