Fellowship SupportThe Institute has modest funds available to support research at the Huntington and USC devoted to the history of California and the West. Successful applicants will likely be asked to present their research findings in one or more formal or informal seminar settings. In some cases, scholars will be invited to participate in Institute graduate or undergraduate courses. Scholars across multiple fields are invited to apply for support; support will come in the form of travel and lodging reimbursement, as well as modest per diem and other expenses. Applicants must demonstrate the necessity of pursuing research at the Huntington or within USC's libraries or archives. Applications consist of a short proposal, budget sketch, names and contact information of two references, and a c.v., and all can be mailed or emailed to Institute Director William Deverell. |
