ICW Built Environment/Cultural Landscapes Group

Moderators:

hise formatted
Greg Hise, USC

Ted Bosley, USC/Gamble House

Description:

This group comprises more than a dozen professionals and educators in the fields of architecture, historic preservation, environmental planning, land development, and urbanism. Participants will consider design, population growth, land use, immigration, and related topics in the context of governance, policy, public and private investment, and regional ecologies. Our investigation of such issues will inform our interventions; we hope to promote a better understanding of the critical choices Westerners face and to provide ideas for alternative futures. We have set an initial goal of organizing a symposium that will bring together policy makers, technical experts, and academics in order to examine culture in the West as it relates to changes in the built environment.
