USC kinesiology majors are encouraged to study abroad during their undergraduate careers.  The University of Queensland (UQ) in Brisbane, Australia offers our majors an opportunity to expand educational experiences in another country.  UQ’s Department of Human Movement Studies boasts a reputable curriculum that prepares its students to work as exercise scientists prescribing and managing exercise in health and fitness centers and hospitals, and acting as consultants to community, cardiac rehabilitation and corporate fitness programs.

UQ is one of the top three research universities in Australia and leads industry collaboration and research funding.  To match this growing international research status, UQ is adding to its high-quality research infrastructure.

*If a kinesiology student is interested in studying at UQ, it will be best if they travel and study during the spring semester of their junior or senior year.  Prior academic planning is critical to ensure course equivalencies while abroad.
