Biing-Jiun Shen’s Health Psychology Lab

Professor Shen’s Clinical Health Psychology Lab focuses on psychosocial factors in cardiovascular health and chronic illness, including diabetes and metabolic syndrome. Current research projects examine: (1) depression and related psychosocial factors in patients with heart failure, (2) psychosocial factors and risk for heart disease/coronary artery disease among postmenopausal women, and (3) psychosocial factors and mental health issues in patients with coronary artery disease. These studies are in collaboration with various investigators and clinics at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and the USC Keck School of Medicine.
