Welcome to the newly established website of the Southern California Consortium for Lake Studies. We are a group of researchers interested in modern processes and paleoenvironmental signatures in lakes and lacustrine sediments.

Current research foci include:

• Climate variability in the Holocene and late Quaternary using sedimentology, geochemistry, organic geochemistry and paleomagnetism.
  
  
• Geochemical processes in lakes including carbonate geochemistry; anoxic lake geochemistry.

• We are actively pursuing these questions in research sites in southern California and worldwide - some of these sites are listed here.
