Rates

For the USC users, rates are either based on hourly usage or prepaid. For outside USC users rates will be provided upon request. Rates vary for individual instruments.

Hourly usage

Rates are calculated based on the time of operation, hours plus minutes.

Prepaid service

Customers can pay a monthly upfront fee and they will receive benefits such as discounted per use cost. Given a 3 day advanced notice, prepaid service customers will have a priority in scheduling and usage of the equipment. Otherwise they will have to comply with the first-scheduled first-served basis.

There is also a yearly price cap offered for each instrument. If reached before the end of a year that started after the first usage of a given instrument, the instrument’s time will be provided for free until the end of that year.

For the users of more than one instrument, a yearly cap of $16,000 is offered.

Training

All equipment users must receive training for a fee before being allowed to use any instrument.
