The Pre-Health Professions Program emphasizes the integration of a humanistic approach to pre-health education with a solid foundation in the scientific basis health care. This is our philosophy and these are the methods by which we help students prepare for careers in the health professions:
Services.
Student-centered advisement designed to address individual interests and goals as it pertains to students’ undergraduate and Pre-professional experience in the Medical, Dental and Allied-Health professions.
Structured workshops to orient students on academic planning, personal statement writing, interview skills, the professional school application process, and much more.
Representatives from Medical and Dental admission offices, Allied-health, private and public sectors, and community organizations visit and speak to current USC students on the Health professions.
The USC Pre-Health office coordinates the receipt, maintenance, and mailing of Letters of Recommendations to Medical and Dentals schools. Current USC students and Alumni are encouraged to establish a Letter of Recommendation file with our office by submitting a Letter of Recommendation (LOR) application.
USC Pre-Health Services offers trained personnel to review personal statements required of the Health Professional Schools.
