Master's DEGREES

USC undergraduate students who would like advanced training in psychology may apply for a progressive degree in Psychology. This program permits students to complete all requirements for both the B.A. in Psychology and the M.A. in Psychological Science degrees in five years.

The department offers an innovative free-standing master’s degree program, the Master's in Human Behavior. Students whose objective is a master’s degree are invited to apply for this program.

Students whose eventual degree objective is the Ph.D. should apply directly to the Ph.D. program. A student admitted to the doctoral program may earn the M.A. in Psychology during the course of working toward the Ph.D. The department does not admit students whose objective is this master's degree.
