QUANTITATIVE

The faculty of the USC Quantitative program are committed to developing the next generation of quantitative psychologists who will make contributions to evaluating the utility of existing research methods in psychology, as well as advancing new methods in the areas of data analysis, experimental design, and psychological measurement. Graduates are prepared for faculty positions in Quantitative Psychology, as statistician/methodologists in psychological or medical research institutes, and in industry, business, or marketing.

Doctoral candidates in the Quantitative area of Psychology receive advanced training in statistical methods and quantitative models applicable to psychology. The Quantitative area emphasizes a wide range of topics, including traditional analysis of variance and regression, categorical data analysis, longitudinal analysis, structural equation modeling and dynamical systems modeling.
