Richard Vargas serves as senior associate dean for USC College Advancement, where he oversees the development and corporate and foundation relations functions for USC College.  Appointed in August 2008, Vargas previously served in various development positions within USC College Advancement, the most recent being associate dean for Advancement and Major Gifts.  Prior to joining the development staff of the College, Vargas was the director of Regional Programs for University Advancement, where he contributed to USC’s successful “Building on Excellence” fundraising campaign.  Before joining the University Advancement team, he served as an associate director in the USC Office of Admissions.

An alumnus of USC, Vargas earned a bachelor’s degree in Public Affairs.  He also was a recipient of the Norman Topping Scholarship and a participant in the College’s JEP program.
