Monday, October 19 at 2 p.m. in THH 320 - Uta Schorlemmer, adjunct assistant professor of German at Occidental College, will speak on "Lies and Truth in Life and Theater in Tadeusz Kantor's Art Work."
Tadeuz Kantor (1915-90) was a Polish playwright, director, and artist. The director of the underground Independent Theater (Teatr Niezale��ny) during the war and then later the Cricot 2 theater in Krak��w, Kantor is best known for his dynamic and innovative stagings and his efforts to situate the work of art in everyday life by arranging "happenings."
