Obama and Health Care Reform: A Progress Report

Wednesday, November 18th, 11:30 A.M.
Location: Doheny 240
Discussion begins at noon.  Lunch will be provided.
The House of Representatives passed a historic health care reform bill last week. Attention now shifts to the Senate, where President Obama and his allies must put together sixty votes for the passage. Will Obama be able to sign health care reform this year? Or will Republicans and moderate Democrats keep it from happening? Join our lunch panel of political and policy experts to find out what comes next.

STUDENTS TALK BACK is a weekly lunch series where USC students have the opportunity to discuss national and state politics with professional experts from the worlds of campaigns, government, policy and journalism. Every Wednesday, we'll discuss one issue that dominates political debate in Washington and Sacramento. Students will participate as panelists and analysts, and our guest experts will answer questions and respond to comments from those in attendance.

The lunches are co-sponsored by the Unruh Institute, the Department of Political Science, The Daily Trojan, Political Student Assembly, College Democrats and College Republicans.
