The Political Student Assembly (PSA) 2008-2009 Director: Manpreet Sadhal uscpsa@usc.edu
The Political Student Assembly (PSA) was formed in January, 2006 as a division of the Student Affairs Program Board. PSA seeks to actively engage the student body with campus, state, and national political issues. PSA is a student run organization which promotes and encourages awareness and activism regarding contemporary political issues, process and structures. PSA serves as an umbrella organization for many of the campus student groups that consider themselves politically orientated. Although members may hold strong political views, PSA is a non-partisan organization that is concerned with promoting civic-engagement, rather than a particular political view point. Student groups involved include: Amnesty International, CALPIRG, Environment First, Human Rights Action, Informed Voters Foundation, International Relations Undergraduate Association, NAACP, Peace and Conflict Scholars, Political Science Colloquy, Political Science Undergraduate Association, Student Coalition Against Labor Exploitation, Students taking Action Now Darfur, Students for Justice in Palestine, USC College Republicans, USC College Democrats, USC Greens Network.
